Unique Wines in a Beautiful  Setting

Goose Watch is one of New York's most unique wineries, for its setting as well as its wines.  Here you can take in one of the best views of Cayuga Lake from our tasting room or from our expansive and beautiful grounds.  Goose Watch offers unmatched beauty in the winter, spring, summer or fall. In the spring time, visitors can enjoy Goose Watch's beautiful grounds as they "come to life".  Many visitors love visiting Goose Watch in the summer time because we are one of the few wineries on Cayuga Lake that is accessible by boat.  In addition, our grounds are popular for picnicking in the summer time.  And in the fall, the colors surrounding Cayuga Lake will take your breath away.

No matter the season,  Goose Watch specializes in truly unique premium wines.  Our exciting wines are produced from classic European grape varieties such as Pinot Grigio, Viognier and Merlot as well as unique and more unknown varieties such as Villard Blanc, Diamond, Isabella and more.

Gold Medals

So far in 2011, Goose Watch has been racking up gold medals at major wine competitions.

The judges at the New York State Fair awarded us with three Best of Category distinctions-- Best Sparkling for the Pinot Noir Brut Rose, Best Rose for the 2009 Cabernet Franc Rose and Best Dessert Wine for the Classic Cream Sherry.  

At the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition in January, Goose Watch won gold medals for its Golden Spumante and 2008 Viognier.  At the Winemaker's Challenge Competition in San Diego, California this February, Goose Watch took home gold medals for Golden Spumante and Pinot Noir Brut Rose.  And at the Florida State Fair International Wine Competition, also in February, Goose Watch grabbed golds for 2009 Diamond and Pinot Noir Brut Rose.

On the east coast, Goose Watch won a double gold medal for its 2008 Viognier.  Back on the west cost, we took home gold medals for our 2009 Pinot Grigio and Pinot Noir Brut Rose at the Pacific Rim International Wine Competition. Our Pinot Noir Brut Rose also won a gold medal at the New World International Wine Competition in March out on the west coast.
